Masalah kepemimpinan bangsa tampaknya menjadi masalah yang pelik hari ini. Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono sebagai pucuk pimpinan eksekutif di negara Indonesia pastinya yang kemudian menjadi sorotan utama. Kebijakannya selama 5 tahun 100 hari (periode pertama dan periode kedua) menjadi sorotan banyak pihak. Sebagai mahasiswa kami pun dituntut untuk bersikap kritis akan hal ini sebagai bentuk rasa cinta kami terhadap bangsa dan negara.

Oleh karenanya kami merasa momentum 100 hari Pemerintahan SBY- Boediono sebagai momentum yang tepat untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap kepemimpinan nasional. Setidaknya kami melihat evaluasi tersebut dalam beberapa point yang penting. Dan oleh karena rasa cinta kami terhadap bangsa ini dan rasa tanggung jawab kami terhadap rakyat Indonesia serta atas dasar alasan-alasan di atas, kami Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia (BEM UI) MENYATAKAN SIKAP:


1. MENUNTUT Pemerintahan SBY segera menyelesaikan kasus hukum Bank Century dengan sejelas-jelasnya dan seterang-terangnya. Tuntutan ini berlandaskan pada evaluasi penegakan supremasi hukum di Indonesia. Dengan belum juga terselesaikannya proses Hukum Century, hal ini menyebabkan bingungnya masyarakat dengan pemberitaan yang makin menyesatkan, efeknya hal tersebut kemudian menyedot konsentrasi masyarakat sehingga tidak mampu lagi fokus terhadap hal lain. Inipun juga terjadi dengan kondisi pemerintahan, dimana akibat  kasus Bank Century ini kemudian menyebabkan banyak pos-pos penting negara yang terabaikan. Jika keadaan ini terus berlarut-larut maka bukan tidak mungkin kita akan menjadi negara yang mandul dari segi produktifitas.  


2. MENUNTUT Presiden SBY untuk menganggarkan 20% anggaran pendidikan dengan adanya pemisahan antara anggaran pendidikan dengan pos pengeluaran rutin, terutama gaji guru, dan melakukan transparansi anggaran pendidikan serta menaati putusan MA terkait UN demi keadilan sosial dan kemajuan pendidikan Indonesia. Karena adanya perbedaan sarana dan prasaran yang sedemikian buruknya, mereka diharuskan bersaing dalam UN dengan siswa-siswa dikota besar yang telah mapan dari segi sarana dan prasarana pendidikan. 

Lagi-lagi kami, mahasiswa, sebagai salah satu "penikmat" pendidikan menilai kebijakan Presiden SBY terkait Ujian Nasional telah menafikan Hak asasi setiap rakyat Indonesia untuk memperoleh pendidikan, penetapan Ujian Nasional (UN) sebagai standar kelulusan adalah sebuah bentuk ketidakadilan. Lihat saja siswa-siswa di daerah atau kasus dimana seorang siswa cerdas yang harus mengulang sekolah dikarenakan ia sakit saat Ujian nasional Selain itu, Ujian Nasional juga tidak adil dikarenakan hanya menguji aspek kecerdasan manusia yang hakiki jauh lebih luas daripada itu. 

Melengkapi hal tersebut, anggaran pendidikan yang mencapai 20% tetapi juga merupakan komponen gaji guru membuat pembangunan pendidikan menjadi tidak maksimal. Hal ini dikarenakan sumber daya yang ada tidak secara total difokuskan untuk membangun fasilitas pendidikan. Seharusnya angka 20% bisa dipisahkan dari komponen gaji guru jika pemerintah memang benar-benar ingin memajukan dunia pendidikan Indonesia. Semuanya demi untuk mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa sesuai dengan cita-cita bangsa yang tertera di dalam paragraf ke-4 pembukaan UUD 1945.


3. MENUNTUT Presiden SBY untuk melakukan renegoisasi pemberlakuan ACFTA pada pos-pos tarif yang sangat mengancam industri dalam negeri Indonesia dan melakukan pembangunan Infrasturuktur usaha serta memperkuat sektor Industri dalam Negeri secara kulaitatif maupun kuantitatif hingga Indonesia memiliki daya saing yang baik. ACFTA (ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement) yang merupakan perjanjian perdagangan bebas di kawasan ASEAN-China akibat pemberlakuan ACFTA ini bea masuk barang ekspor dari China ke negara-negara ASEAN ataupun sebaliknya direduksi secara bertahap sejak penandatanganan perjanjian ini, hingga menjadi tidak ada bea masuk pada tahun 2010, dengan pengecualian bagi 5 negara yang belum siap. Tanpa pembangunan infrastruktur yang memadai dan upaya penguatan industri dalam negeri yang menyeluruh secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang selama ini belum diupayakan secara optimal oleh pemerintah, dibuktikan dengan fakta bahwa saat ini daya saing Indonesia menempati peringkat ke-53 dari 55 negara versi Institute for Management Development and Competitiveness Yearbook dan peringkat ke-54 dari 55 negara versi World Economic Forum. ACFTA ini akan menyengsarakan pelaku usaha dalam negeri dan segenap pemangku kepentingannya, terutama yang paling elementer, yakni rakyat pekerja. 

Pernyataan sikap ini dimaksudkan sebagai tekanan bagi pemerintah SBY dan segenap jajarannya untuk segera melakukan perbaikan-perbaikan nyata

JIKA TIGA TUNTUTAN DI ATAS TIDAK DIPENUHI SEBELUM TANGGAL 20 OKTOBER 2010, KAMI MAHASISWA UI BERJANJI AKAN MENGEPUNG ISTANA NEGARA DAN MEREBUTNYA DEMI KESEJAHTERAAN RAKYAT INDONESIA!

Based on the random news that I've heard,, this rumor is TRUE because it get cleared by Megan herself.

It started in an interview on the Golden Globes red carpet, Megan said " I look like Alan Alda in drag. I'm a tranny (transgender). I'm a MAN."
The E! reporter who was interviewing her, Guiliana Ranci, thought that she was just joking.

But,, hey man!
That's the FACT. Well, even there are several people said that maybe It's a part of promotion for her movie, Transformer. I'd rather think that is true, because, nowadays, transgender not a taboo things. If you ever heard about HaRiSu, a transgender Korean singer, you maybe wouldn't really surprise to hear about Megan's news.

In my view as a Moslem, It can't be done because it appear as your unsatisfied feeling to God and that meaning that you're not being grateful of God's gift to you. Take care of our appearance as a human is alright, but changing ur sex!?

I really can't understand with it. Still, in God's list you're still a man nor a woman, neither you change yourself into another sex. Look, I'm talking kinda like a pro now. So sorry for that, it's just an opinion from me.
